Reflections on the Women of African Network Financial Sustainability Webinar

Women of African Network-Financial Stability

On Thursday, 28th November 2024, the Women of African Network successfully hosted an impactful virtual event themed “Financial Sustainability.” The webinar brought together professionals, leaders, and community members for an evening of insightful discussion, practical guidance, and empowerment around long-term financial stability.

The session was hosted by Rev. Nora Badu, a respected woman executive and advocate for economic empowerment. Her leadership set a welcoming and purposeful tone, emphasising the importance of financial literacy and resilience for individuals, families, and organisations—particularly within African and diaspora communities.

Insightful Contributions from Our Guest Speaker

The highlight of the event was the presentation by Dr. Samuel Fosu, who joined the session as the guest speaker. Dr. Fosu delivered a thoughtful and engaging discussion on financial sustainability, breaking down complex financial concepts into practical, real-world strategies.

Key themes explored during the session included:

  • Building sustainable financial habits
  • Long-term planning for personal and organisational growth
  • The importance of discipline, accountability, and adaptability in financial decision-making
  • Strategies for navigating economic uncertainty

Participants appreciated the clarity of the presentation and the relevance of the examples shared, which resonated strongly with both professionals and community leaders.
