The Women of African Network (LLR) has been busy hosting a series of empowering events designed to support, educate, and celebrate the incredible women in our community. From leadership conferences to vital financial health seminars, these gatherings have fostered deep connections and provided essential resources for all attendees.
Empowering the Future: The First African Network Women Conference
On August 31, 2024, we held our inaugural conference, “The Confident Woman”. Hosted at the Baptise Church in Leicester, this event brought together women for an afternoon of inspiration and networking.

Celebrating the Heart of the Family: Mother’s Day 2025
In March, we turned our focus to celebration with “Unveiling the Strength of a Woman in the Community,” a special Mother’s Day event held on March 29, 2025. This gathering served as a poignant reminder that women are the backbone of our families and societies.

Planning for Peace of Mind: Awareness of Life Insurance
Most recently, on May 21, 2025, we transitioned to a virtual space for a vital educational webinar titled “Awareness of Life Insurance”. Recognizing that financial literacy is a cornerstone of community strength, this Zoom session provided practical information for family protection.
