We recently gathered for a truly inspiring afternoon at the Trinity Methodist Church to celebrate Mother’s Day with an event titled “Unveiling the Strength of a Woman in the Community”. Hosted by the African Network LLR and sponsored by Leicester City Council, the celebration was a powerful tribute to the resilience and determination of women.
The event highlighted that women are often the unsung heroes of our communities, families, and societies. Their strength serves as the backbone of many relationships and organisations, a theme that resonated throughout the day’s discussions.
Event Highlights:
- A Warm Welcome: Our gracious host, Rev. Nora Badu, set a heartfelt tone for the afternoon.
- Empowering Insights: We were honoured to have Councillor Asiomanedu Joel as a featured speaker, along with several other insightful voices from our community.
- Community Connection: Attendees shared experiences and celebrated the collective impact women have on building a stronger, more supportive society.
Event Details Recall:
- Date: 29th March 2025
- Time: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
- Location: Trinity Methodist Church, Narborough Road, LE3 2RD
Thank you to everyone who joined us to honour the incredible women in our lives. We look forward to many more events that celebrate and strengthen our community.
